2006-2007

Dear FACE members,

Your board has been very busy working for you. We met from September 23-24 and accomplished a large agenda successfully. Thanks to all the Board members for their tireless support and dedication in support of teachers.

Face members will be receiving an email giving more details about the plans for FETC in January. At our annual meeting and luncheon ISTE's Hilary Goldman will be our featured speaker. ISTE will again be a part of the FACE booth at FETC. Be sure to stop by and learn about all the advantages a FACE and ISTE membership can bring. See more info about FETC below.

FACE goes to NECC 2007

FACE will be very involved with NECC 2007 in Atlanta, June 24-27. Floridians can reserve in a preferred hotel at Atlanta after Nov. 2 through the online NECC registration. Stay tuned for a special event for FACE members at NECC.

FACE members will be able to register for a discounted rate of $225, or only $155 for people who are members of both FACE and ISTE, until April 27, 2007.

FACE is establishing a relationship with a similar organization in Australia. Some of their members will attend NECC 2007 and hope to meet new ed tech friends from Florida there.

Coming Soon! Our very own Blog!

FACE is adding a blog to its website. Monthly questions will be posted. Share your views on technology issues, ask questions you want answered, and share your experiences and opinions with others.

Bi-monthly ed tech info sent to FACE members

FACE members will get twice monthly e-newsletter with info on grants, competitions, free and inexpensive items, great websites and more. The information is compiled and edited by The Big Deal Book and provided through the affiliate relationship with FACE. Members who do not wish to receive this bi-monthly e-newsletter can opt out.

Volunteer to be a FACE leader

FACE is looking for a few good leaders to work with instructional technology in local, regional or state offices, and you could be just that person in 2007. The executive board meets by conference call twice a year and has a great deal of email communication. The board usually meets the Saturday and Sunday before the FAEDS September conference and briefly at FETC.

To nominate someone or yourself, contact Lisa Connelly at lisa32825@cfl.rr.com or 407-247-8791.
