An Action Center--this segment offers info on ed tech issues that are "hot" nationally, the two most important currently being the E2T2 Grant
funding that Congress is considering cutting dramatically and the E-Rate
Program.

This site facilitates the preparation of a letter to a member of
congress on these or other issues and enables the person accessing the site to identify their representatives in Congress and their email and U.S. Mail addresses.

The Action Center will soon have a component that will allow states to
enter issues that are significant in their state and similar to the national segment, provide info on state legislators and will facilitate contacting them also.

There is a segment called "Advocacy Basics" which allows one to obtain info on the most effective ways to communicate with members of Congress or the State Legislature.

The Position Papers segment provides info on significant issues as seen by ISTE and CoSN. There is a good one on the E-Rate program that would probably interest folks who are not real familiar with it.
